Coach Matt's journey in the world of fitness began in high school, where he first delved into training to enhance his strength for overall sports performance. Falling in love with Weightlifting and Exercise under the guidance of a family friend who was a personal trainer, Matt's passion for fitness took root. Certified as a trainer at the age of 21, he spent 12 years as a Personal Trainer before venturing into the business world. However, the desk life wasn't for him, and after staying active but missing the fitness world, Matt returned over 5 years ago.


In the Functional Fitness World, Matt shares his perspective on fitness with clients, aiming to make everyday life easier while enhancing their physical and mental well-being. Recognizing that being healthy involves more than just gym time, Matt emphasizes the importance of the Other 23 hours (O23) of the day. His approach goes beyond the typical fitness advice, focusing on prioritizing and strategizing to help individuals become the best versions of themselves.


Matt advocates for a holistic view of health, incorporating biofeedback to address overall wellness. Utilizing the S.H.R.E.D.S. model (Sleep, Hunger, Recovery, Energy, Digestion, Stress), he tailors his coaching to address each aspect, ensuring optimal functioning. From mindset and nutrition to recovery and personal goals, Matt works with clients to achieve holistic well-being.


On the training side, Matt incorporates prehab/rehab movements, making workouts efficient and enjoyable. Specializing in Functional Strength Training, he utilizes progressive overload, EMOMs, AMRAPs, and MetCons, designing workouts specifically for each client's unique needs. Matt's goal is not just to make you stronger but to do so in a non-traditional and personalized way.
