John has been involved in sports since he was three years old, but his passion was in-line hockey. His desire to excel in all aspects of the sport led him to become involved in strength and conditioning. This desire and his competitive nature were instrumental in helping him achieve many individual and team honors and awards throughout both his collegiate and professional in-line hockey careers.
Strength and conditioning soon became John’s primary focus – as a result, he graduated in 2011 from Lindenwood University (St. Louis, MO) as a multiple time scholar-athlete earning a B.S. in Exercise Science. While at Lindenwood, John participated in coaching for adaptive athletics programs.
Following graduation from college, John spent three years as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Quinnipiac University, working with many Division 1 athletes, including the two-time Frozen Four runner up Men’s Ice Hockey team. John also spent seven years as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for all sports at The Brunswick School, a private school in Greenwich, CT.
John’s desire has always been to train others and provide them with the tools they need to help them reach their full potential, whether that be working with athletes to help them reach their full performance capabilities or working with those whose primary focus is to live a long, happy, and healthy life. In an effort to achieve his goals, in July 2019 John began coaching group classes and training athletes at RX FIT in Rocky Point.
