Bio

I always played sports growing up and first started training when I was in High School. Family decided to hire a family friend that was a personal trainer to teach me how to increase my strength for overall sports performance. That’s where I fell in love with Weightlifting and Exercise. Fast forward as an adult, I got certified as a trainer at the age of 21 and was a Personal Trainer for 12 years before going off into the business world. While I did stay active and continued to train, I was behind a desk most of the time. Sitting behind a desk wasn’t for me. I knew where my passion was and that was back into the world of fitness. Being back for over 5 years now has been great! Being able to share my view of fitness with clients has really inspired me. I now live in the Functional Fitness World. I utilize training techniques that will help make your everyday life even easier while also helping to improve the way you look and feel about yourself.

When it comes to being healthy it’s not as simple as eat more/less, train harder, or follow the latest fad. You need to prioritize and strategize how to make you the best version of yourself. It’s not only about the Hour we spend in the gym, but also about the Other 23hrs. (O23) of the day as well. Since we don’t live in silo’s why would we think addressing our goals would be the same. Did you know that feeling sluggish, agitated easily, gut distress, not sleeping, and lack of progress in the gym are all signs that something might be off? We need to be aware and utilize BIOFEEDBACK in addressing our overall health and wellness. This can be towards Looking Good, Feeling Better, Reducing Stress, Gaining Muscle or Losing Fat. Did you know there is a way we can do this? I utilize the S.H.R.E.D.S. model when working with a client to reach their goals. So, what is SHREDS? Sleep.Hunger.Recovery.Energy.Digestion.Stress. We need to address each area listed to make sure we are functioning at an Optimal level.

We will work on our mindset, our view and use of food, how we recover, and what is the “you” that you want to be. On the training side I will make sure we can work on any issues you might currently have and work on improving them. (ex: knee pain) I incorporate prehab/rehab style movements as well as make the workouts efficient and fun. I utilize as much as possible to be the most effective I can for you and your goals. Who doesn’t like to get stronger but in a non-traditional way? Let’s do some Functional Strength Training together utilizing progressive overload, and use EMOM’s, AMRAPs, MetCons all designed specifically to you and your needs.
